Jacques W. Kobersy, MD, is Chair of the Emergency Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Kobersy worked at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Washington State, US, where he became a member of the Board of Directors for the Emergency Physicians group, as well as the Assistant Medical Director for the Emergency Department.
Previously, he was an Attending Physician at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, US, where he became Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. In parallel to this, Dr. Kobersy also served as the Medical Director of Canton Medical Center. He has also served as the Medical Director of several Fire and EMS Districts in Washington.
Dr. Kobersy received his medical degree in 2002 from the University of Michigan. He was then accepted into an academic Emergency Medicine Residency, also at the University of Michigan, where he served as Chief Resident. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Nemeth started his post-graduate training in pediatric and internal medicine transitioning eventually into emergency medicine. He has been an attending physician at the McGill University Health Centre's Montreal General Hospital, Royal Victoria Hospital and Montreal Children's Hospital since 2001.
Besides adult and pediatric emergency medicine, he has a passion for trauma. He has been a trauma team leader since the inception of the TTL program at the MGH in 2005. He is also the fellowship director of the TTL fellowship.

Dr. Tintinalli is a professor and founding chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
She was president of the American Board of Emergency Medicine (1989-1990), the founding president of the Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors, and past-president of the Association of Academic Chairs of Emergency Medicine (2006-2007). . She is editor in chief of Tintinalli’s Emergency Medicine and AccessEmergencyMedicine (McGraw Hill Education).
She was elected to the National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Medicine in 1997. She was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society in April, 2017, by the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. In October 2018 the American College of Emergency Physicians named one of the society’s key leadership awards the Judith E. Tintinalli Award for Outstanding Contribution in Education. In 2019 she was named ‘Fellow of the International Federation of Emergency Medicine’ FIFEM.

Dr. Rahim Valani has been practicing emergency medicine in some of Canada’s busiest emergency departments for over 18 years. He is Associate Professor at the University of Toronto and is also the Chair of the Best Evidence in Emergency Medicine program.
Dr. Valani has a strong interest in medical education, specifically in curriculum development, including inter-professional education, international medical education and development of educational plans. Dr. Valani also holds a Masters in Medical Education and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, with specializations in operations, finance and strategic management. He is currently implementing data driven decision processes in the clinical realm to improve patient outcomes and metrics.

Dr. Suneel Upadhye (MD MSc FRCPC) is an Associate Professor in Emergency Medicine and Health Research Methods/Evidence/Impact at McMaster University (Hamilton, Canada). He is the inaugural Research Lead for the EM Researchers of Niagara (EMRoN), and works clinically in Niagara Regional Campus of McMaster Medical School. He is also a founding member of the Best Evidence in Emergency Medicine (BEEM) program since 2005. He has been the Chair of the Standards Committee for the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP) since 2009. His research interests (and numerous peer-reviewed publications) include evidence-based medicine, clinical practice guidelines, knowledge translation and EM quality improvement. He is an award-winning educator and lecturer, and has presented at EM conferences worldwide. Recreationally, he is an avid scuba diver (certified in diving medicine), and a jazz music enthusiast.

Dr. Buhumaid is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine & Health Sciences. She is the general secretary of the Emirates Society of Emergency Medicine. She completed her residency training in Emergency Medicine at George Washington University, Washington D.C., as well as an Emergency Ultrasound fellowship in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA. Currently she is pursuing Masters of Medical Education from Dundee University. Dr. Buhumaid is active in point of care ultrasound education in the Middle East region and has taught numerous regional and international workshops.

DR Amjad Obeid is Emergency Medicine Board Certified since 2008 with Experience in Emergency Medicine for more than 20 years . Currently working as Consultant Adult Emergency Medicine & Disaster in Royal Commission Hospital in Jubail.
Dr. Obeid is the Chief Medical officer of Bahrain Motor Federation responsible for Bahrain Grand Prix Race ( F1 ) and all the FIA car racing since 2006. He is a member of the FIA medical Commission since 2008 . Dr Obeid was nominated to be the Chief medical officer (CMO) for India Grand Prix for 2011 2012 and was nominated to train and to be the Chief Medical Officer of Baku . In addition to that Dr Obeid was also the nominated to be the CMO for Addriyah Formula E in Riyadh in 2018.
Dr. Obeid has good experience in Road Safety and Injury Prevention and worked as WHO focal point for seven years and was the National data co-ordinator for the three global reports on Road Safety published by WHO.

Dr Al Hatali is the head of the poison control section, Environmental and Occupational Health Department, at the Ministry of Health in Oman. She also serves as the Middle East and North Africa Association of Medical Toxicology (MENATOX) Treasurer. She is an Acting consultant in the Emergency Medicine Department at Royal Hospital. She graduated from Oman Medical Specialty Board in 2012 as well as certified by the Arab Emergency Medicine Board. She finished her Post Doctoral Fellowship in medical toxicology at Emory University and the Georgia Poison Center in Atlanta, GA USA in 2014. She has lectured in countries around the world and has numerous awards to her credit. Dr Al Hatali has a true passion for Toxicology.

Dr. Omar Ghazanfar has completed his MBBS at the age of 25 years from Karachi University and subsequently spent 13 years in the UK at initially in Surgery and subsequently Emergency Medicine before moving to the U.A.E in 2015 as an Emergency Medicine Physician His sub-specialty interest is disaster medicine and he has completed the Advanced Masters in Disaster Medicine (EMDM) which is a dual Masters from the University of Del Piemonte Italy and the Vrije University in Brussles. He has also completed a fellowship from Oxford in appraisals and performance management before working for NHS England in an advisory role. He is Co-Chair of Trauma at the Zayed Military Hospital and Chief Editor of the Emirates Society of Emergency Medicine Published monthly .Dr Ghazanfar has also a keen interest in Medical Leadership and has completed the Edward Jenner Leadership degree from the NHS Leadership Academy.He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management.
I am Emergency Medicine Consultant and former HoD at Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital – Umm Al Quwain (UAE) and before that worked as Emergency Medicine Consultant in the United Kingdom from 2010 to 2014.
I completed Emergency Medicine Specialty CCT training in London Deanery's training program from 2004-2010, including pre-hospital emergency medicine via the Kent Surrey Sussex HEMS.
I am interested in medical education especially simulation and regular participate and organize regional workshops, symposia and webinars through my hospital and the Northern Emirates Emergency Club that I founded. I also regularly moderate sessions and speak at Emirate Society of Emergency Medicine Scientific conferences and have served as Chair of the Arab Health Emergency Medicine conference in 2019.
I have been an ATLS instructor since 2003 and also held instructor status in UK Resuscitation Council's ALS and APLS.
I was awarded 'Distinguished Specialist' at the Annual HEALTH MAGAZINE-DUBAI HEALTH AUTHORITY awards 2018.
